Applying to Biology Graduate Programs

Applications to graduate programs in the Department of Biological Sciences is done completely online through the FAU Graduate College online application system. The application is submitted through the FAU Graduate College and supplemental documents are directly uploaded into the online application. 

Please note that the Graduate College requires each of these documents:

1) Official copy of transcript(s),

2) Official copy of GRE score report, 

3) Official copy of TOEFL score reports (for international students when applicable),

4) Official copy of course-by-course transcript evaluations with calculated GPA(s) for international transcripts (see here for a list of approved evaluation agencies).

Please note that international applicants who have a)  at least 60 credit hours from an accredited post-secondary institution where the primary language of instruction is English, b)  are green card holders, or c) originate from countries where English is an official language and is the language of instruction in higher education (click here for a list), do not need to submit TOEFL scores. However, a course-by-course transcript evaluation with a GPA equivalent is still required.
