Emma Pawlik

Emma is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science with a major in Biological Sciences and an associated research certificate. During her undergraduate research, she used vertebral morphology to assess similarities and differences across closely and distantly related shark species under the advisement of Dr. Marianne Porter. Emma is currently both a Marine Turtle Specialist at The Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex as well as a Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Marine SEA Scholar at the FAU Marine Lab. Emma enjoys the program as she wants to learn effective ways to share her own research with the public. She believes that as more people understand marine science research, they will take action to have positive impacts on the environment. When Emma is not in the lab, she can be found SCUBA diving, spending time with friends, playing with her cat, and napping.
