Macy Sherman is a Ph.D. candidate in the Comparative Animal and Marine Physiology lab at FAU with Dr. Sarah Milton. She completed her Bachelor's degree at the University of Miami where she majored in Marine Biology and Ecology and minored in Chemistry. During her time there, she conducted undergraduate research on the temperature effects on behavior of the California sea slug (Aplysia californica). Her current research interests include the effects of heavy metals like lead, mercury, and cadmium on the general health and immune function of sea turtles.
