Micah Rogers is an alumna of Dr. Wyneken’s lab from 2009-2013. While at FAU, Micah researched the relationship between sea turtle sex ratios and nest temperatures. Since graduating and leaving Florida, Micah spent time in Nevada working to protect Mojave Desert Tortoise from 2013-2017 as a biological consultant and then joined Oregon Dept. of Fish & Wildlife in shellfish management, where she has been since 2017. Micah’s current role involves monitoring the Oregon Coast for harmful algal blooms and working on Pacific Razor Clam research and management. When Micah is not working, you can find her hiking, camping, walking her dog, watching movies, and traveling anywhere new.
