Savannah Arvin

Savannah is an undergraduate student in the FAU Marine Lab majoring in Biological Sciences. Before joining the Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Marine SEA Scholars program, she conducted research on the sex and size distribution of blacktip sharks in Southeast Florida under the direction of Dr. Stephen Kajiura. Savannah is passionate about conservation education, and teaching others that their small-scale efforts can make a big difference. She hopes that our lab visitors will walk away with an understanding that small acts like recycling and conserving electricity go a long way. Savannah’s plans after graduating include pursuing a master’s degree and studying the impacts of climate change on the migration patterns of marine animals. In her free time, Savannah can be found enjoying the beach or working out.
