I’m an ecologist and veterinarian, who applies laboratory and quantitative approaches to understand and predict how anthropogenic disturbances like climate change and habitat degradation influence host-parasite systems in wild populations. The ultimate goal in my lab is to understand how changes in host-parasite interactions can impact human health, ecosystem health and conservation biology in a changing world. The research performed in my lab does not focus on a specific system or taxa, instead, we pursue interesting questions to fuel the passion needed to perform quality science and develop applied solutions.
