Affiliate appointments are for non-FAU faculty members and FAU employees not employed by the College of Science that wish to participate in Biological Sciences Department programs. A background check will be conducted on all affiliate appointments approved by the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science.
Biological Sciences Department status for all internal and external faculty that wish to serve as voting members on graduate student thesis/dissertation committees.

*Note: Ranks associated with affiliate and graduate faculty status are dependent upon faculty members’ current rank within their institution as outlined in the Graduate College and the Charles E. Schmidt College of Science policies on affiliates and graduate faculty.
