Chamarea is an undergraduate student studying biological sciences. She joined the Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Marine SEA Scholars program to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in marine science research and scientific communication. The program will allow her to develop a more in-depth perspective about the lifestyles of different sea turtles and gain the skills needed to care for them in a lab setting. When guests visit the Marine Lab, Chamarea hopes to impart the importance of studying marine ecosystems and the many factors, including humans, that can impact them. When she graduates, Chamarea plans to pursue a doctorate in veterinary medicine with a focus on exotic wildlife and marine animals. Outside of the Marine Lab, Chamarea can be found relaxing and studying outside.
