Lisa Marie Gisiger

Lisa is an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelors in biological sciences. Growing up on Florida’s space coast, she has seen the effects of climate change firsthand. Additionally, she has been fascinated with sea turtles since she was a kid. The Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Marine SEA Scholar program allows her to participate in research at the intersection of both of these interests. Lisa is enthusiastic about working in the FAU Marine Science Lab and educating our visitors about the importance of studying the impacts of climate change on marine life. After graduation, Lisa plans to continue her education by earning a Master’s degree with a marine biology concentration. When she’s not in the lab, Lisa’s hobbies include having beach days and cuddling with her cats.
