Dr. Sean Williamson was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the FAU Marine Lab and coordinator of our Glenn W. and Cornelia T. Bailey Marine SEA Scholars program from 2021-2022. Sean conducted his Ph.D. research on embryonic development in crocodiles and turtles through Monash University in his home country Australia. After that Sean worked with Upwell on tracking turtles at sea and Conservation Planning Specialist Group to develop a species conservation planning process for the Eastern Pacific Leatherback Turtle. He also has substantial expertise working with sharks and rays in Australia’s recreational fisheries, see Sharkmates⁠.  After a productive year at FAU Dr. Williamson was recruited back to Monash University to oversee the research lab that gave him his start.
