Boris Tezak, Integrative Biology PhD candidate, recently won the Boyd Lyon Award for the best student talk at the 2018 meeting of the Southeast Regional Sea Turtle Network. Boris presented his work at the Myrtle Beach, SC conference to nearly 300 attendees, which included researchers, volunteers, and people working for sea turtle conservation from all over the southeastern United States, the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. FAU had a strong showing overall at the conference, which was organized by Associate Professor in the Biological Sciences Dr. Sarah Milton, with 18 current and former FAU students in attendance. Five graduate students from the Biological Sciences and one undergraduate member of the Honor's College presented talks, and two additional undergraduate students in Biological Sciences presented posters. Dr. Annie Page-Karjian of Harbor Branch also presented her research.
