Conservation Biology, a graduate-level course, is currently offered every other year and. This course is designed to familiarize students with the primary threats to biodiversity while providing hands on application of contemporary tools for solving conservation problems.

Principles of Ecology is an upper level Biology course taught using active teaching techniques. This course is designed to 1) teach fundamental concepts of ecology, 2) justify the use of models in ecology, 3) provide students with ability to identify patterns in ecological data, and 4) demonstrate the relevance of ecology to quality of human life as well as the sustainability of all lifeforms on the planet.
