Kylie Harrison
Kylie is a Master of Science student in Dr. Milton’s Comparative Animal and Marine Physiology Lab. Her main research interests lie in sea turtle nesting ecology and conservation. Her thesis project involves evaluating differences in microplastic abundance and plastic types between loggerhead vs green sea turtle eggs, hatchling tissues, and nest environments. Additionally, she is evaluating oxidative stress in sea turtle hatchlings. As a Marine Turtle Specialist at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, Kylie is uniquely positioned to study such interests. When she’s not in the lab, Kylie might be found reading, playing video games, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with her cats, Zelda and Rogue.
