Laura Jones

Laura is a master’s student in the ElasmoLab under Dr. Stephen Kajiura. Her research will be testing a shark deterrent device to find out more about shark depredation (damage inflicted on other species of interest by sharks) and what can be done to avoid it. Laura also helps with the shark tagging used to study shark migrations along the United States Atlantic coast. In her free time, Laura enjoys exploring South Florida beaches, and local spots or events. She also enjoys spending time with her friends, baking/cooking, reading, and being outside.
