Olivia is a graduate student pursuing her Master of Science in Dr. Koch’s Aquatic Plant Ecology Lab and Dr. Fernandes’ Microbial Ecology Lab. She is interested in studying the chemistry and ecology of the microbial community that lives in association with seagrass roots and rhizomes. Olivia is interested in learning how expanding our knowledge of the microscopic world can contribute to making informed seagrass ecosystem management and restoration decisions. When she’s not in the lab, you might find Olivia hanging out with friends, SCUBA diving, camping, swimming, or taking pictures of her cats.
