Tricia Meredith is an alumna of Dr. Kajiura’s lab, conducting research from 2005-2011 while completing her Ph.D. During her time in the lab, Tricia researched the sense of smell in sharks and their relatives. More specifically, she looked at the anatomy and physiology of the olfactory system in order to determine how the sense is arranged and the level of odor sensitivity in sharks and their relatives. Following her time in the lab, Tricia now works as a faculty member in FAU’s College of Education. In addition, she serves as the Director of Research for FAU’s on-site school, where she oversees an imaging lab. Tricia’s team helps the school’s students and educators engage in research while mediating collaborations between outside research on or within the school. In her free time, Tricia enjoys SCUBA diving, outdoor adventures, and spending time with her family.
